Clare Gallagher lives in a suburb of Belfast, Northern Ireland, and has published her debut novel ‘Birds of a Feather Flock Together’ in 2023.
This story will resonate with many readers who have studied at college abroad, made lifelong friends and had the time of their life. Clare loves to spend time reading her journals from years gone by and those memories inspire her writing.
Clare values the dear friends who have supported her through her own trials and tribulations. With many friends living in America, Clare enjoys travelling to the States as much as possible and racking up those air miles!
In addition to writing, Clare has worked in the marketing and events industry for over 20 years and is a highly experienced sales, marketing and client relationship manager. When she is not writing in her journal, Clare is taking long walks along the beautiful Irish coastline and catching up with friends.

They say that diamonds are a girl’s best friend but Cat and Alex came to realise that a best friend is more precious than diamonds.
Cat is a fun-loving, free-spirited Dubliner who enjoys pints with the lads and is very much a city girl but has never experienced America before. Alex is an all-American, blonde-haired Californian who lives in a small town just outside San Francisco and has never been out of her own county before.
Both girls, from very different backgrounds, are living away from home for the first time. As they throw themselves into all fun and drama that college life has to offer, they quickly realise how much they have in common. For Cat and Alex, college is the beginning of a new chapter in their lives and they live life to the full. They experience the college dating scene and discover that love is hard to find for both girls but for very different reasons!

I very quickly found myself completely engrossed from start to finish. I loved the story of two girls from different cultural backgrounds becoming best friends.
